HOW TO STAY YOUNG:

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctor worrry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is God and ourselves. BE ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health; It it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but not where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at ever opportunity.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers and everyone that has brought a specialness to your life that only mothers or mothers-at-heart can bring. It is your special day and one that brings you the recognition you deserve.

This is my first Mother’s Day that I have not been able to hug and kiss my Mom and tell her how special she is to me. But my Mom and I had a very special relationship and I told her all the time how great I thought she was. I am thankful I shared my feelings and didn’t hold in the things I wanted to say. I would be devasted today if I thought she did not know that I loved her and how proud I was that she was my Mom. I really feel I  had the best Mom in the world and I cherished each moment we shared.

I hope you will begin today and share all your feelings to the one you love. Life is so short and you never know when that last breath will be taken away. Mom’s are special and you only have one. I know mine is in a much better place, but I miss her so.

I hope you and your family have a very safe, healthy, happy and prosperous new year.

Statistics for Atlanta Zip Code 30305

Atlanta zip code 30305 is home of the Buckhead area of Atlanta. This year has seen prices increasing steadily from January to April then dipping to a median low price of $670,000. Prices have been increasing August with a current median price around $700,000.

Days on market have been decreasing since April going from average 230 days to currently around 150 days.

These are good signs for Atlanta zip code 30305 with good news for home sellers and bad news for home buyers. Now is the time to buy in the Atlanta area, while prices are their lowest.

Statistics for Snellville 30039

August through October has brought a leveling of prices in zip code 30039 which is a good sign. Sales prices from April through August were steadily going down so the stabilization of prices has been a good indicator. Hopefully prices will begin to rise near future.

Another good market indicator has been that days on market have been going down, only with a slight increase in July but it soon regained its downward trend.

Overall Snellville zip code 30039 is doing better with prices stable and days on market that have decreased from 300 in January to currently 175 days.

It looks like a roller coaster ride on pricing for zip code 30306 in the past 6 months. Prices rose steadily from April through August and have flattened out since then. Days on market have decreased during the same time period which is very optimistic news for the area. Although these are the statistics for this zip code, it is not indicative of all the zip codes in the Atlanta area.
