Buyers expect their new home to be clean when they move in. If not, they might not consider purchasing it.

Most important is to have a clean kitchen and bathrooms. These are the rooms that buyers pay the most attention to and therefore must be clean. Other areas of importance

  1. Carpets-Carpets need to be cleaned and it is especially important to have them done professionally since some of the supermarket cleaning machines, just embed the dirt and don’t actually clean them.
  2. Railings-these need to be degreased and cleaned and possibly painted.
  3. Door hardware-clean around the hardware where grime gets embedded with a degreaser.
  4. Windows-Carefully clean all windows and window screens. Buyers will be looking out and in the windows.
  5. Fixtures and faucets-clean the deposits left on the fixtures or replace as necessary.
  6. Walls-you might be able to clean marks and stains, but if not, please paint. Walls must be clean.
  7. Appliances-clean the stove and top, refrigerator and dishwasher, microwave. Make sure the buyers want to use them.
  8. Cabinets-wash the well and if they still look bad, you must paint.
  9. Floors-make sure all floor surfaces are clean and shining, but not slippery
