Tip 4-Neutralize Colors

by admin on February 20, 2010

Colors on walls for our homes become outdated, just like our clothes do. Some colors are favored over others  in different parts of the country. Check out magazines and model homes for ideas. Colors can really date your home and this is not what you want the buyer to see when they come in the door.

It would be a good idea if you plan to paint the outside of the home, that you ensure you are within guidelines of any homeowners associations that may be in place.

The easiest thing to do when painting the interior rooms, is to paint them all a neutral color, usually an off-white. This becomes a non-color and buyers are able to see their furniture and accessories in the rooms and are not repelled by the walls. This is the only way to make sure you don’t offend anyone with your choice of wall color. You’re always safe with “builders beige”.
