u Can Do It Yourself and Inexpensively
Buyers don’t have an imagination and need to be shown what a house can look like. You don’t get a second chance to make that first impression. There are far too many homes on the market that entice the buyer to buyer, so make sure you are the one they choose. Show your home off to its best advantage.
With this series, I will discuss 10 tips that will help you get your home sold in the least amount of time.
Number 1- Remove Clutter.
Having too much clutter makes your home look small and unliveable. We don’t even realize our homes are cluttered because that is the way we live. Sometimes, the eyes of a friend can help you with this. Tell them you want them to be brutally honest with you, because this is the way buyers will be when they see your home and decide not to buy it.
Having too much furniture is pretty typical. Look at your rooms and consider taking one-third of the furniture out. You will need to have a storage area for the excess and this does incur an additional cost. The minimal cost of the storage area will help you return thousands on the sale of the home. Don’t be penny wise and pound foolish.
Look for furniture that doesn’t belong in the room. It is more appealing to the eye to have similar things together. Look for boxes of stored objects that should go in your storage area. Don’t leave anything that doesn’t enhance the room. Watch out for an excess of accessories around the house. Box them up and leave the room looking neat and tidy.
Closets should not be stuffed full. If you have too many clothes, take some out and leave the closet looking like there is more room to store things. Closets are a big selling point for buyers. They want as much storage as they can get.
Take the time to go through your things and either pack them up, throw them out, or give them away. Many charities would love to have many of the items we no longer need.
